Brode
Satin
Sheer woven fabric, lightly embroidered, with a
Satin base attached to it. The sheer voile part
is lightly or heavily embroidered with various patterns
(from geometrical, stripes to floral) offering a
good amount of light. The non-transparent thicker
satin part (placed on the bottom edge) is intended
to add to elegance without interfering with the
voile. From a distance sating gives a velour look,
from proximity, it offers a very polish Versailles
appearance. The fabric as a whole provides more
light and more luster than a voile.
The voile is generally lightly embroidered with
colored textured polyester yarn, while the satin
base is a thicker and non-embroidered. Typically,
the satin base has the same color as the voile.
Popular colors are beige, gold, white, and metallic.
Less popular are light brown and burgundy. Both
the satin and voile are made of 100 % polyester.
The satin has a higher thickness and provides
more cover than the voile.
